Possibly THE cutest things in history! If you have the latest issue of Frankie, you would have seen these Pei Li Miniatures... Everything is made to 1/12th the size of what the actual item would be. It must take such a long time and effort to put into making these tiny creations, don't you think? You can check them out and even buy them here. Oh and p.s. she also does jewellery!

Wow can you imagine it's been exactly one year today since I first started this blog?? The time has gone so quickly and I'm surprised that I've stuck with this for this long! When I first started SophieJoy I didn't really have any idea why I was doing this. But my computer was getting clogged up with inspiration photos and I needed some kind of outlet to share what was on my mind. Over the past year, I've just blogged about whatever and it surprises me that people take the time to read what I post. So I thank whoever is out there reading this! Maybe even flick me an email or comment because I'd love to hear from you. And, I'm not just saying that, I really would! So I'm going to carry on doing what I'm doing and let's see what the future holds...

Here are a few of my favourite posts to reminisce!

PETER PAN COLLARS- Alexandra Grecco photography and clothes

EET- Taking photos with my friend in the summer!

BESPOKE- Brooke Frasers stunning blog!

BELLA- The always inspirational Stefany Alves

THREE LITTLE BIRDS- More summer photos

P.s. What do you think about the new banner? Felt like a change but not too much change...

In love with this editorial from Vogue Japan. Absolutely beautiful!

Yay! Finally got this perfume that I've been wanting ever since it came out! Love you Mum and Dad haha

So as I said, here are some of the lovely presents that I received for my birthday... I had such an amazing day and I couldn't ask for better family and friends! I really am so blessed. I went to Empire Teahouse for afternoon tea just with the girls and drank coffee/tea and ate chocolate cake. Didn't really get the chance to take photos unfortunately but I think there's some group photos on Sara's camera which I'll get off her. And for dinner we went out to an Italian restaurant called Portifino where I had my first "legal" glass of Chardonnay  along with the best chicken fettucine! Thank you to everyone who made my day so special! XX

The cutest cherub necklace from two of my best friends. They engraved our initials on the back.
AND ONE OF THE BEST PRESENTS EVER!! Would you believe it, it actually SNOWED on my birthday! The first time in New Plymouth in 73 years! Was absolutely incredible!! Freezed my toes off taking these photos but who cares when there's SNOWWWW!!! Was the first time I've ever been somewhere where it's snowing as well!

When I was first introduced to T2 by my best friend who lives in Sydney, I instantly fell in love! Firstly by how  beautiful the shop was, the amazing smell and the colours. Oh and of course my love for tea... I'm a big tea drinker (actually as I type this, I'm drinking tea haha). So for every bday and christmas, my friend has bought me a box of tea since we don't have a T2 in New Zealand (?) and New Plymouth. So I thought, why not share this awesome shop with you as well!

Head over to their website here

I had multiple names for this post including: "Night" and "Hair" because seriously, how freaking long is my hair getting? I've been needing a haircut for a long time... Shouldn't admit to this but the last time I got it cut was 9 months ago! Yes, 9... I'm going to book a hair appointment in the very near future but I'm always so reluctant for the chop because I'm scared of having half my hair cut off. And it's taken me so long to grow! I'm thinking of getting it thinned heaps (because it's so thick and gives me a headache sometimes when I have it tied up...),  having my fringe straightened up and getting lots of long layers throughout and having the front layered quite a bit. Yeah that doesn't really make sense... So well done if you have just understood that! Ok I better go to sleep... I'm ranting. Meh.

P.s. these photos were taken at my friend Elyse's 18th a couple of weeks ago.

So one day I am going to go out into the big, wide world and go exploring. I'm going to find an old theme park and ride all of their rides and then I might go for a bit of a bike ride just to take in the fresh air and look at the beautiful scenery, but then I'll get a bit thirsty so I'll stop at the local haunt and drink some coke, and then I might decide that I'm a bit peckish as well and choose to treat myself to some Laduree macaroons, then I'll feel a bit homesick and ring my family which will make me feel better, and by then it will be getting later so I'll go grab a Starbucks to keep me awake for the rest of the night.

Hope you had a lovely weekend!
P.s. on a side note, 10 followers... Haha welcome my amigos!

Hello ladies and gentlemen! I would like to introduce you to a very talented photographer called Lukasz Wierzbowski. I am in awe of how he manages to capture such awkward positions and moments and turn them into a beautiful photo. I mean how awesome is that photo of the girl with a glass bowl on her head?? I'd feel like a total turd doing that but I think that's what sets him apart from other photographers. His work is original and different and that's why I like his photos!

P.s. does his photos kind of remind you of Stefany Alves...? Maybe it's just the editing...

Ahhh just discovered a new online shop called Threadsence. Wasted a great deal of time looking through all the clothes and wanting nearly everything I saw. These are just some of my favourites! They have a great selection of shorts and how amazing are those faux leather high waisted shorts?? And those scalloped ones! Still haven't found a decent pair of scalloped shorts which I can afford... (Unfortunately the pair on Threadsence are already out of stock...)

Meh meh meh... Back at school. Might not be posting as much because of upcoming mock exams. Wish I could though! Xx
